applications
β€” Before applying, please check to make sure your journal contains the following:
β€’ A new friends only post dated the month and day for which you are applying, with a future year (2021 or later).
β€’ A screened out of character contact post with a future year (2021 or later).
β€’ At least two writing examples - one must be an entry.
β€’ A friends list that has been cleared of other roleplaying communities and/or non-members.
β€’ If you are a returning member or attempting to override a current member, please specify this in your application.
↳ If you are attempting to override, please read the section below and then contact us prior to applying so we can verify that the member in question meets the criteria.

Please note: We allow up to two challenges, or three total applications, per role. Each application will be judged individually. Existing members will need to provide examples if they'd like to bring in an additional role.
β€” If you are submitting an application as a returning member:
β€’ If you were removed for failing to update on time, an update must be posted in your journal upon re-applying.
β€’ If it has been more than three weeks since your removal, you may clear your friends list and apply as a new member. You will be required to provide examples.
β€’ You will need to provide examples if you were removed for not posting an introduction in include.

activity
β€” Below are our guidelines for maintaining your role in the community:
β€’ Journals cannot exceed three weeks. Your updates must be posted to the friends page with comments enabled.
β€’ Every six weeks, we require an update that displays some form of obvious effort.
↳ Currently due to COVID19, we are suspending our substance requirements. You are allowed to post whatever you like in your journal at this time. We have more information about that policy here.

β€’ You may use an update pass in lieu of an effort post. Keep in mind you cannot use a pass twice in a row, nor can you use one immediately following a hiatus or extension. For more details on update passes and how to go about earning them, see this post!
β€’ Our expectation is that if you post something, you will reply to at least the initial comments left on it by other members. If we find a pattern of the majority of initial comments not being replied to, that will be considered a violation of our activity requirements and you may be removed for it.
β€’ Your friends list must be updated once every two weeks.
β€’ Introductions should be posted in include within three days of being accepted.
↳ At least 50% of comments in your introduction must be replied to within three days of the post being made.

β€’ While we understand many members choose to use Wire for activity, since it is not required and there is no way for us to publicly monitor that, it does not count for community activity.

β€” Rolehogging/Deadweight:
β€’ We have a zero tolerance policy on rolehogging. If we find that you are visibly failing to interact with other members and are only doing the bare minimum to remain in the community, your role can be made available for override through our activity review process.
β€” Overrides:
When someone inquires about potentially overridding one of our members, we will conduct an activity review. In that review, we'll be looking at the following:
β€’ Is their journal at or over three weeks?
β€’ Do they have a pattern of not responding to most comments in their entires?
β€’ Have they posted something of substance in six weeks? [ Temporarily suspended as of 5/4 ]
β€’ Is their friends list out of date by two weeks or more?
β€’ Did they fail to post an introduction within three days of being added?
β€’ Have they failed to show activity on the friends page (i.e. posting in subcommunities, commenting subcommunity posts, commenting entries posted by other members, etc.) in a three week period?
β€’ Overrides will only be allowed if a member violates any of the above, and you must get approval that the member is up for override prior to submitting your application. Members who are listed as being on hiatus or extension are ineligible for override.

etc.
β€” Miscellaneous:
Applying to publication means that you have read and agree to the rules. However, the rules are subject to change, and we will always announce these changes along with adds. If there is anything that you are unclear on either before or after submitting your application, drop a comment in the mailbox and we will be more than happy to address any questions or concerns!

β€’ Your celebrity must be at least 18 years of age in order to be considered.
β€’ Usernames may not contain extra characters such as underscores, numbers or x's. Your username must be either a combination of your celebrity's first, middle and/or last name, or their stage name - no nicknames!
β€” Rule Violations:
β€’ If you are frequently removed for failing to update on time, we reserve the right to reject your application and leave the role available to others for one month.
β€’ Do not cross the ic/ooc line. If you need to speak to a member ooc, please utilize their screened contact post.
↳ If you suspect that someone has blurred or crossed the line, please contact us and be as detailed as possible.

β€’ The use of slurs and/or hate language is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to racist, homophobic, transphobic, or misogynistic remarks, images and the like. Violations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but can result in your immediate removal.
β€’ We have a zero tolerance policy for plagarism. This can apply to other writers, sources, or your own celebrity. If you take someone else's work without credit, you will be banned from the community.
β€’ We will not tolerate harassment of any kind. Please contact us and be as detailed as possible if you think you are being harassed, or if you feel uncomfortable due to another member.
β€’ Please remember that you are portraying a real person, and with that comes the responsibility to uphold a sense of realism. We would prefer not to police members when it comes to their roles, but if your celebrity is doing or stating something publicly that is out of character and makes other members uncomfortable as a result, we reserve the right to step in and issue a warning if necessary. Failure to heed said warning can result in your removal.
β€’ IP logging will result in your immediate removal.
β€” Community Procedures:
β€’ Adds are done on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after 9pm eastern standard time. Please ensure your journal is up to date before then or you will be at risk for override or removal.
β€’ Removals will be done with adds, and an activity check will be performed once a month.
β€’ If we notice you are missing something simple from your application (i.e. we can't view your examples), then we will notify you. If you are otherwise unsure of why you were rejected, please review each bullet point in the applications section above to ensure you meet the criteria.

We reserve the right to reject anyone that we feel isn't a good fit for the community, and we do not respond to inquiries regarding rejections.
